Collage & Assemblage Techniques Workshop

Explore the expressive potential of collage for producing a wide-range of symbolic and representational imagery by exploring found objects and mixed media. One of the first assignments will be to tell a story by gathering 10 items found in your home including magazine & fabric scraps, receipts, tickets and photos and combine these fragments using various fastening techniques such as natural glues and resins, nails, screws and thread stitching.

As sources of inspiration, I will share the collage technique tradition of folk artists, Dada, Surrealist, early American Modernists and contemporary artists.
